When I ran for the US Congress as a Representative for Arizona's First District.  I made only one campaign promiseIf elected, I will use my seat in Congress to fight for freedom for the constituents of District 1 (and by extension, all citizens of the USA).

I'm not a politician.  I'm just a regular guy.  I don't have a lot of contacts with big, important people.  I'm not rich.  I don't make a lot of money.  I'm just like you.

Politicians like Rick Renzi and Paul Babbit get lots of money from people who want them to get elected.  That sounds OK on the surface, but take a look at where the money comes from.  Renzi raised most of his money for his last campaign from sources outside Arizona, and this campaign is no different.  If you think Babbit is any better, take a look at his campaign contribution sources.

Now, I don't know about you, but I have to ask myself, "Why would people or organizations, from outside Arizona, want to help someone get elected as the representative for Arizona's District 1?"  The answer is simple:  They want to have influence over someone who wields the power of a vote in congress!

The question you have to ask yourself is, "Why would I want to elect someone who owes favors to people or organizations outside Arizona?"

I will never become a politician in the sense of Rick Renzi, or Paul Babbit.  I don't have a multi-million dollar campaign "war-chest."  I don't owe anybody any favors...except you, if you elect me.

Are you happy with the way things are?

I decided to run because I'm not happy with the way things are.

If you're a Republican, you probably blame the Democrats for the way things are.  If you're a Democrat, you blame the Republicans.  But here's the harsh truth: 144 years of electing Democrats and Republicans is what has gotten us here!

No matter which side you're on, you can't deny that both sides have gotten their chances...and both sides have failed.  We live in the richest country the world has ever seen, but we incarcerate more people than any other country on the face of the earth.  Too many people live in poverty.  Too many people go without health insurance.  Too many people feel hopeless about their lives.

The Republicans and Democrats have a plan to fix what's wrong.  The trouble is, they've been saying that for 14 decades, and things are still pretty bad.  Every plan you hear come from a Republican or Democrat's mouth, will involve more intrusion into people's lives, more regulation, and higher taxes.

I've had enough of their "plans."  The solution to our problems is less intrusion, less regulation, and lower taxes.

If you love freedom, and want someone to fight for your freedom, you really only have one choice.  Please consider voting for me on November 2, 2004.
